Tottenham beat Burnley 5-2 to reach FA Cup sixth round

Son Heung-min hits brace as Spurs win at home

Harry Kane also scores as Burnley are thrashed

Tottenham Hotspur eased into the sixth round of the FA Cup with a 5-2 victory over Burnley at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday. Son Heung-min scored twice for Spurs, with Harry Kane, Pedro Porro and Djed Spence also on the scoresheet.

Burnley took the lead through Nathan Tella in the 12th minute, but Tottenham equalised through Kane just seven minutes later. Son then put Spurs ahead in the 28th minute, and Porro made it 3-1 just before half-time.

Son scored his second of the game in the 55th minute, and Spence added a fifth for Spurs in the 78th minute. Burnley pulled a goal back through Ashley Barnes in the 82nd minute, but it was too little, too late.

Tottenham will now face Sheffield United in the sixth round of the FA Cup. The match will be played at Bramall Lane on March 1.

Burnley are winless in 12 away games versus Spurs in all competitions since a 4-1 League Cup victory at White Hart Lane in January.
